The Future Hope Project was formed to collect care packages for the future hope of Africa. We are partnering with Hope Aid International and YOU to help provide some basic needs for new Ugandan mothers at the Mugusu S/C Maternity Ward.
Donations and items are being collected to send as care packages to help in the dream that all babies of Uganda will begin their journey of life with a bright beginning.
As AIDS, hunger, and diseases wreak havoc on these new mothers and their babies daily, statistics show that 76 reported infants out of every 1,000 born alive in Uganda will die before their first birthday and 137 children will die before their 5th birthday. In comparison to, 6 infants die of every 1,000 born alive in the United States and all deaths are recorded. It's understandable that it is hard to wrap your mind around those startling statistics. *according to CIA World Factbook
